The Dunphy, Pritchett and Delgado clan paid a visit to the ‘happiest place on Earth’ this week when they took a trip to Disneyland. One of the cast went all Wall Street while an adorable doofus made a surprise return to the show. I wonder if you can guess who?
Rather than do a full, waffling review, today we’re going to take you through the five best moments from Modern Family’s Disneyland episode. So here we go:

James Wilson took center stage in a rather hit and miss episode of House this week. The C Word was all about Wilson and his recent cancer diagnosis. Unfortunately, there was a patient of the week storyline thrown in which kind of got in the way.
Let’s get the tedious Patient-Of-The-Week drama out of the way first. This storyline actually started out pretty well: as a parent, I respond emotionally to sick child storylines. And this was an intriguing one, not least because the parents were separated and the mother – also a doctor – was seconded to the team to help diagnose the child’s issues.

Yeah, she's quiet, but she can't make the tea during the commercials
You know things are getting weird on House when the doctors are pushing around a sex doll in a wheelchair. And that’s exactly what happens in We Need The Eggs when a patient is admitted whose girlfriend is a rubber fetish doll.
It’s initially tempting to sigh wearily and mutter about how House has really jumped the shark with this one. But the writers played this one largely for laughs – as the multiple scenes with Chase and Adams examining a ‘tumor’ inside the doll and treating it as a serious patient. I mean, take a look at the security guard’s face in this shot:

Okay, before we begin today’s The Big C review, what did we think of the big Season 2 finale fakeout? Paul appears at the finish line while we see him simultaneously having his heart pumped. Are you guys pissed that Paul wasn’t actually dead, but in the throes of a major heart attack? Leave me a comment – I want to know how you all feel about this storyline.
Moving on to the latest episode, What’s Your Story sees Paul’s blog kicking off World War III in the Jamison household. Why? Because in the middle of a wonderfully cathartic blog post, he revealed that Cathy had had an affair. And then teenage rage-machine Adam promptly read the post and, well, exploded.

It had to happen eventually: Jess finding out that Schmidt and Cece were sleeping together. And it couldn’t have happened with much more flair than it did on New Girl last night.
In Secrets, Jess finally found out the truth after Winston cracked and told Schmidt’s secret to Nick. “Sweatback? You told sweatback?” Which leads to the four roommates (plus Cece) delving deep into their various trust issues.

And…fade to black. Well, kids, that was the Californication season finale. And while the pacing of Hell Ain’t A Bad Place To Be was fantastic, Hank’s never been in a worse place. Let’s recap the shit out of this mutha…
Well, Hell Ain’t A Bad Place certainly didn’t disappoint. There was gay innuendo, a shooting, some of the sharpest dialogue Californication has ever served up – courtesy of Samurai Apocalypse and Batesy – as well as that incredibly rockin Led Zeppelin sequence that kicked off the episode. Oh, and one major character may not get out of this season alive. Intrigued? Read on…

I think the general consensus of last night’s Californication episode, At The Movies, will be that the characters were all over the place. Tyler’s rise in our estimation after Raw was tragically short-lived: he made a grotesquely desperate Charlie humiliate himself as the unlikeable agent tried to sign him. And Hank himself was not having a good day as a BJ spells disaster for his career and a number of friendships.

Poor Hank. After years of sleeping around and generally boomeranging between Karen and an array of eyecatching floozies, Karma has picked this moment for some payback.
In the latest episode of Californication, Here I Go Again, Hank was presented with a drunk and vulnerable Karen and did the noble thing by not trying to sleep with her. Elsewhere, Batesy was busy drunkenly cheating on Karen with an obnoxious stripper (played by guest star Drea de Matteo). And so it fell to hapless Hank to mop up Batesy’s mess by helping him recover his wedding ring.

Last night’s episode of House focused on the aftermath of Chase getting stabbed. I was glad to see the writers giving credence to such a harrowing event rather than simply getting down to business as usual.
As we come to discover, Chase has thrown himself into sleeping with a string of random women, while Taub is being victimised by House for his decision to take self-defence classes. Even Adams later admits that she’s taking trauma counselling after the incident. So there’s no doubt that the stabbing has profoundly affected House’s team.
